Last year, President Obama’s Twitter account was found to be following a semi-erotic website. Well, now it appears that the account was following a full-fledge porn company.
When it was found in April 2012 that the account was following @CelebritySideboob, Obama’s Twitter account followed more than 679,000 accounts. Since then, it appears that the staff has unfollowed many, dropping down to 660,850 followed by the president’s account. But one appears to have slipped through proper vetting.
The account @WickedPictures might not have as obvious of a name to red-flag its less than innocent content compared to @CelebritySideboob, but a quick look at its Twitter profile description or a Web search about the company reveal its adult genre.
We all know the president doesn’t manage his own social media accounts – his non-profit, Organizing for Action, does – but he may want to consider finding some new help.
“I'm sorry. Just a little distracted. I am just getting off of Bikini Outlaws,” Glenn joked on radio this morning. “These guys are the biggest degenerates out there. The guys in the White House are degenerates. You know it.”
Over the weekend, various screenshots confirmed President Obama’s account was in fact following the adult film company. But by Monday morning, the president was no longer following @WickedPictures or, as TheBlaze reported, any other “questionably named adult Twitter accounts."
Stu tried to make the case that one of the Organizing for Action staffers in charge of President Obama’s account probably thought he was on his own Twitter account and chose to follow @WickedPictures, but Glenn wasn’t buying that excuse.
“I don't think these guys care about anything anymore. Do you think they care,” Glenn asked. “This guy could get on television and shoot somebody in the head and go, ‘Just thought I was doing that for national security. You're all safe now. Good night, everybody,’ and no one would say anything. ‘I got to go check some more porn sites.’”
This is now the second ‘oops’ for the president’s Twitter account, and yet it continues to be a non-story for the mainstream media.
“Not even a story,” Pat said. “How many times have you heard it? Is it on the NBC nightly news?”
“Can I tell you something,” Glenn said. “We are in so much trouble.”
