Last week, Glenn shared the story of the Ayo Kimathi (aka the ‘Irritated Genie’), the Department of Homeland Security employee who, in his spare time, runs a website preparing black people for the “unavoidable, inevitable clash with the white race.”
The website, “War on the Horizon,” has since been taken down, as Kimathi, an acquisitions officer for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), enjoys a paid administrative leave. On Saturday, Fox News reported Kimathi was told on Friday that he is being put on paid administrative leave, following a series of news reports highlighting his controversial website.
“The Department of Homeland Security said that an employee who runs a racist website predicting and advocating a race war has been put on administrative leave – paid administrative leave,” Glenn said on radio this morning. “Now, why is that? We can't fire this guy? That shows you how out of control this business called the Department of Homeland Security really is.”
In addition to warning of and preparing for the imminent race wars, Kimathi called President Obama a “treasonous mulatto scum‑dweller” on his website and named Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, and Condoleeza Rice as “enemies” to the movement.
“We have the NSA and the IRS targeting you, but nobody is looking at the Department of Homeland Security people? This guy is buying all of the weapons, all of the bullets,” Glenn said. “On his website, it says, ‘In order for black people to survive in the 21st Century, we're going to have to kill a lot of whites, more than our Christian hearts can count.’ I don't know if that sounds like a Christian. His website criticized whites, gays and those of mixed race. He calls the President – what is it? Mulatto scum? This guy is a very bad guy.”
Prior to his administrative leave, Kimathi’s actions at work were so bizarre, his former supervisor told the Southern Poverty Law Center, “Everybody in the office is afraid of him. This guy is filled with hate.”
“Now, as astounded as you might be that he is even employed by our federal government, the government has just put him on paid administrative leave,” Glenn said. “Apparently having him on video saying horrific things, having your co-workers say, ‘We're afraid he's going to come in and shoot some of us,’ having him say what he says about the President, and that he hates gays, hates white people, and hates those of mixed race – HATES – and you're going to kill a lot of people – apparently that's just not enough to get you fired nowadays from the government of the United States of America.”
