EDITOR’S NOTE: Due to inclement weather in Dallas, Glenn asked his staff to stay home this today as he broadcasted his radio program from home. On Wednesday, Congressman Jared Polis (D-CO) took to the floor of the House of Representatives to issue a scorching attack on Republicans for supposedly stalling immigration reform. The Hill reports the ballistic meltdown came after Rep. Joe Garcia (D-FL) used his time to acknowledge immigration reform supporters sitting above the chamber, which prompted the presiding officer, Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN), to issue a standard warning that House members are not to address the gallery.
On radio this morning, Glenn expressed his disgust with phony politicians feigning anger over policies they do not actually care about.
“This guy's such a dirt bag. He gets up and is trying to make the case for immigration reform… so disingenuous,” Glenn said exasperatedly. “Jared Polis… I don't know about you. I'm just so sick of all these guys.”
During the tirade, Rep. Polis muses that he would like to see immigration reform passed in pieces presumably because it would be easier to get it through Congress and the American people that way.
“What are you talking about, you dope. Think how disingenuous this is. ‘Let's break it up in parts.’ Why break it up in parts? Because it's easier to pass. It's easier to get by the American people,” Glenn explained. “These guys are so disingenuous, they don't have the spine to stand up for what they actually believe in, and they are only playing Kabuki Theater. That's all they're doing. You watch this guy and you can tell it's totally fake. Totally fake… It's Kabuki Theater. It's like a reality show: They're not reality.”
