TheBlaze is excited to debut its latest top-tier talent at 5pm tonight - Dana Loesch. She’s sharp. She’s funny. And she's always in the thick of the battle. Dana joined Glenn on radio this morning to talk about why she decided to join TheBlaze and what we can expect to see on her new show.
“Something else that begins today is [the new program] Dana. Dana Loesch is newly with TheBlaze full-time,” Glenn said. “She was an editor at Breitbart, does her own radio program in Saint Louis, and is a highly successful, home school mom. Her husband runs [a music] studio… And the TV show begins at 5:00pm ET tonight.”
“I feel like I'm having a house party and my parent’s are gone,” Dana said. “The show is pop culture driven politics. That is the best way to describe it. We have fun with the news. We have fun with politics. I'm not in my skirt suit and all serious like ‘Here's the news.’ That's not whey do.”
Both Glenn and Dana are on the same page when it comes to the importance of culture. In order for conservatism to succeed, we must find a way to influence the conversation.
“We both agree that culture is way before politics,” Glenn said. “The body's already dead by the time you get to the voting booth. To try to mange somebody's mind at that point is almost impossible.”
“Exactly,” Dana agreed. “The sale comes in pop culture. Politics is downstream from that. By the time something is being debated as to whether it's going to become law, you have already lost. You have to go where the fight starts. That's in the form of pop culture, movies, music, art, and all that stuff.”
