There is a lot of bad out there in the world, but on radio this morning Glenn shared one story that proved there still are good people in the world. An anonymous man made the day of 88 Abilene, Texas Chick-fil-A customers on Monday when he paid for $1,000 worth of meals. Why did he do it? Mondays are tough, and he wanted to make people’s days a bit brighter.
As TheBlaze reported, around 7pm on Monday, a name identified only as “John” handed over a stack of $100 bills to the Chick-fil-A cashier and asked that the money be used to pay for the meals of those who came in after him.
The act of kindness, which, according to KRBC-TV, paid for 88 orders and lasted about an hour, left customers “stunned.” Duste Wolf, the ‘team leader’ on duty that night said he asked the mystery man what prompted the gesture.
“I asked him, did you win the lottery today?!” Wolf recalled. “He said Mondays are tough and wanted everyone to have a good day.”
According to Chick-fil-A franchise owner Brian LaCrois, the man’s good deed left some patron’s in tears.
“[One woman] just had an awful day,” LaCrois told KRBC. “We told her the story and she just started crying.”
Additionally, the restaurant picked up the tab of “John’s” order, which was an 8-piece chicken nugget meal with a Dr Pepper.
“It's really nice,” Pat said on radio this morning. “See, there's still good in the world.”
