Glenn loves Texas, but sometimes he has to get out of Dallas. This weekend, he was in two of his not-so-favorite cities: New York and Washington D.C. But during the trip, he had some pretty cool and unexpected run-ins with people from all over the country. He met veterans in DC, and a tourist from California visiting Manhattan who came over to wish him well. Who would have thought there would be a California conservative in New York City?! Glenn chronicled the journey on his Facebook page, expressing his thanks to the people who inspire him to keep on going.
Here's a highlight:
I was walking down Fifth Avenue today and a lady from California rushed after me around a corner. She told me: "You don't know how much you mean to me. I listen everyday and please don't give up. We love you."I was on cloud nine for the day. I know you feel the same way. You just forget that what you do does matter to someone.
Please remember that when you get down — what you have done and still do matters. It matters to me.
