In one of the more disturbing videos in recent memory, CNN host Carol Costello absolutely revelled in airing the video of Bristol Palin’s tearful description of an assault. Setting up the clip she said it was ‘quite possibly the best video’ she’d ever aired, and instructed viewers to ‘sit back and enjoy’ the clip. Disgusting.
"This is one of the most disappointing things I've seen," Glenn said. "This saddens me. A lot of people are calling for her resignation, they're calling for her to be fired."
Before the clip airs, Costello calls it one of the best pieces of audio she has ever seen and after it finishes, she tells viewers to "thank me later."
"She's reveling in the abuse of this woman," Glenn said.
Watch the travesty unfold below:
"We have to stop calling for people's resignations or for them to be fired. What we have to do is start calling out to people's humanity. What's happened here is Carol has become so politicized that she only sees Sarah Palin and her entire family as someone who she disagrees with politically. And so she's lost the humanity of this family. This is not something to be fired for. This is something to be prayed for, this is something to be held and said, Carol, Carol, Carol, you are somebody who was a victim of abuse. Look at yourself. Stop. What are you turning into? They're still people. You don't have to hate them. You can dislike the things that they do. You can dislike the things that they stand for, but they are people. This is a girl who was abused," Glenn said.
