Buzzfeed, well known for their viral quizzes and listicles, exclusively obtained some very interesting data from Facebook revealing the nonpolitical "likes" of Republicans and Democrats. On radio this morning, the guys took a look at the data. What musical act do Democrats overwhelmingly prefer? Republicans? And does anyone really like the Jersey Shore?
"They're looking for people who liked any candidate running for the House or senate. They wanted to find out the pages that were most differentiated between both political parties and then what things did political party people have in common," Pat explained.
What were some of the results? When it comes to music, Democrats prefer The Beatles, Republicans prefer George Strait, and everyone like Journey.
"I much prefer the Beatles to George Strait," Pat said.
"I think I might too," Glenn said.
Democrats think the Empire State Building is a pretty cool landmark, but Republicans like Graceland.
"Graceland you go as a joke," Glenn said. "I thought it was sad."
And according to the data, everyone likes...the Jersey Shore?
"Nobody wants to go to the Jersey Shore," Glenn said.
How about authors? The left likes Maya Angelou, the right prefers Ben Carson, and everyone like James Patterson. Democrats love 'The Great Gatsby' and 'Rachel Maddow', while Republicans like 'Atlas Shrugged' and 'Duck Dynasty'.
