Glenn encouraged listeners to stop playing the politics games and explained how a simple conversation with your kids will help you know if you are guilty as charged. If you find yourself saying ‘you don’t understand how it works’ -- guess what, you’re playing the game.
"We were told as kids, don't talk about religion or politics. I agree with that. Why don't we talk about principles and faith? I don't want to talk about politics. Politics leads you to arguments. Principles. What are our principles? Those always get lost. Because people say, oh, those aren't practical. Why isn't it?" Glenn said on radio.
"The best thing I've done in the last year or so is just sit at the dinner table with my kids and just talk to them about business. Because my kids aren't jaded enough. When you've lived 50 years, you start to understand how the world works, then you start playing the game."
"And when you actually have to face your kids, then you realize, I'm explaining away why I'm not doing the right thing. And it feels wrong. You think, crap, what have I been thinking. That's where we have to get on politics. That's where we have to get on religion and everything else. We have to get to the place where we're not explaining these things around. We just do the right thing."
