History is being rewritten. If you need an example, look no further than Union County, North Carolina, where students at Porter Ridge High School are filling out homework assignments that look to be nothing more than talking points from the Obama administration passed off as fact. One of the most disturbing questions to a student's mother was "Most Muslims’ faith is stronger than the average Christian." Does that sound like something that should be taught in school?
Check out some of the other questions below:
"Could I point out the polls that have happened over and over again in the Middle East that show 60, 70, 80, 90 percent of those in the Middle East agree with, it's okay to kill an American. It's okay to kill people that disagree with Islam, that blaspheme Islam and the prophet Mohammed. That's a small percentage?" Glenn asked.
This isn't the only example of education failing our children. Glenn spoke about a mother who reached out to him on Facebook and told him that they don't teach Thanksgiving in their school because pilgrims were the first terrorists.
"She wrote to me and said, Glenn, I live in Fort Worth. I saw my kids -- my daughter was making a project for Thanksgiving. And she was supposed to draw a bunch of Indians. So she draws the Indians. And I say, where are the pilgrims? Oh, we're not making pilgrims. She went into the hallway of the classrooms, they had all the Native Americans, but no pilgrims. She went to the teacher, where are the pilgrims? This is Fort Worth, Texas, this is not Berkeley, California. This is Fort Worth, Texas. Where are the pilgrims?" Glenn said.
Glenn said that many parents feel overwhelmed by stories like this. Public school may be the problem, but what are the solutions?
"We're all so busy and all so overwhelmed, and we don't know what to do. You know, it's like, you know, I'm not equipped to home teach my children. I'm not equipped to do these things," Glenn said. " So you just don't want to look at the problem because it's too much to deal with. Everything is like that right now. Everything has been overwhelmed and the problems are just too big and you don't know where to start, and that's the real problem here. And anybody who stands up, they just destroy. They just destroy."
That's why Glenn is working on projects like History House, a show that will tell the true stories of American history so they aren't lost to future generations.
