"At my first ultrasound, they found what's called a cystic hygroma. It's usually an indicator for a genetic disorder and can be fatal for the baby in pregnancy. During the consult with a specialist, she told us we had about a 5-10% chance of having a normal, healthy baby, gave termination as an option, and sent us on our way. We held on to that 5-10% chance and prayed like crazy. I've never prayed so hard or felt so close to God in my life.
In the next ultrasound, the cystic hygroma had reduced itself and was no longer a concern. We got an amazing picture of our baby giving us a thumbs up on the ultrasound, as if to say 'It's all good, mom and dad!' Foster Eli Bryan was born at 11:59pm on March 15, 2014. He's perfect! All babies are miracles, but this one is a little extra special for us. This is the moment when he met his 2 older brothers, Jones and Harvey for the first time and my heart nearly exploded!"
