Time Magazine announced this morning that their person of the year is (drumroll)....the Ebola fighters!
Really? That's the best they could come up with?
Nancy Gibbs, managing editor for Time Magazine, wrote that they picked the Ebola fighters based on their "hero’s heart", their persistence in the face of adversity, and their bravery when contracting the very disease they were trying to fight.
She wrote:
"There was little to stop the disease from spreading further. Governments weren’t equipped to respond; the World Health Organization was in denial and snarled in red tape. First responders were accused of crying wolf, even as the danger grew. But the people in the field, the special forces of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), the Christian medical-relief workers of Samaritan’s Purse and many others from all over the world fought side by side with local doctors and nurses, ambulance drivers and burial teams,"
Glenn was disappointed with the magazine's failure to name a single individual. To counter what he felt was a bad pick, Glenn said TheBlaze should look at the top stories of the year and see what really connected with the audience.
Don't miss the radio show Thursday morning for Glenn's pick for the 'Person of the Year'.
