Glenn's in New York City for the next two weeks, and he was kind enough to bring some of that Texas sunshine with him! Unfortunately, the sunshine's been obscured by a "historic" blizzard set to batter the Northeast for the next forty-eight hours. Oh well. But hey, at least New York's mayor gave some sage advice to the citizens of the Big Apple. What did everyone's favorite communist/mayor have to say?
"My message to all New Yorkers is prepare for something worse than we have seen before. Prepare to be safe. Take every precaution. Now is the time to get ready for this extreme weather," de Blasio told New Yorkers.
Now, that's not bad advice at all. But Glenn took issue with the fact that people should be prepared for this kind of event anyway.
"He was right for saying all of it," Glenn said, " Get to a store tonight. So what you're telling us is to be a prepper, except in a disorganized kind of panicked fashion."
"It's completely crazy. You're a nut job if you have bought these things a couple weeks ago. But make sure you get out there tonight," Stu said.
New York is expected to be hit with between 18 and 24 inches of snow, with up to 3 feet possible in surrounding areas. The biggest storm on record was in 2006 with 26.9 inches of snow measured in Central Park.
