Can you guess if Glenn was most excited about watching the Super Bowl for the game or for the commercials? Based on how much time he dedicated to the commercials on radio this morning, it's a safe bet that his life-long disinterest in sports continues in 2015. Here's some of Glenn's favorite commercials from last night, alongside his thoughts.
The heartfelt "Dad" commercials:
"This is the first time that I have noticed love. This is the first time that I have noticed a dad ad," Glenn said on radio.
Nissan "With Dad":
Toyota: "My Bold Dad"
The strangest ad:
"So here's the strangest ad. I don't know if anybody followed the link but I did. Because it is was in the part of the Super Bowl...If you go to the Square Space ad, if you go to dreaming with Jeff, and you can listen to his album that he apparently made. I don't know if this is a joke."
SquareSpace "Dreaming with Jeff":
"One of the more creative ads that I haven't heard a lot of talk on, both Pat and I really loved, was the Snickers ad. I thought this was genius and well done," Glenn said.
Snickers "The Brady Bunch"
Amazing because it's real:
"Really amazing because I remember those days."
BMW i3 "Newfangled Idea"
Hopefully the last puppy ad for a while:
Budweiser "Lost Dog"
"The puppy thing, I'm tired of the puppy thing. Is it cute? Yes," Pat said. "The horse defended the puppy. I get it. I'm tired of the puppy ads."
The most disturbing ad:
"Really disturbing. It's not one of those -- it was one of those where we were watching it together. And everybody was talking and then you're like, wait, wait, stop for a second. Did that kid just die in the bathtub?" Glenn said. "I wonder what kind of insurance are you selling? My kid drowns in a bathtub insurance? Can I buy some of that today?"
Nationwide "Make Safe Happen"
