Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina both announced their plans to be the GOP nominee in 2016, and Mike Huckabee is expected to join them in the race this week. What did Glenn think of the expanded field? He gave this thoughts on Monday’s radio show.
"I really like Ben Carson. I agree with almost everything he says. I'm just not sure he's the guy who is ready to take the helm of this ship," Glenn said on radio. "The same thing was said about Abraham Lincoln. You don't know."
"He's a brain surgeon, but Ronald Reagan skill and Ben Carson skill, both really needed, not the same. We need brain surgeons, we need presidents. Not the same skill," Glenn added.
Stu laid out the full rumored list of GOP candidates as: Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, Rand Paul, Jeb Bush, Mike Huckabee, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Rick Perry, Lindsey Graham, Rick Santorum, Carly Fiorina, Bobby Jindal, John Kasich.
"Five people I cannot vote for. Make me say I will vote for a third party candidate," Glenn said. "That's great!"
