When bad things happen, you can tell who the real people of principle are based on how consistency their reaction is. For example, Jon Stewart stood up for freedom of speech with BOTH Charlie Hebdo and the “Draw Mohammed” event. Way, way, way on the opposite end of the spectrum is one of the worst people in the media — MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. Glenn called Chris’s comments on the Texas shooting “shameful”.
"I wonder whether this group that held this event down there to basically disparage and make fun of the Prophet Muhammad doesn't in some way cause these events -- well, not the word causing. How about provoking, how about taunting, how about daring," Matthews said.
"What's the difference between Charlie Hebdo? Charlie Hebdo [cartoon] was worse than this," Glenn said. "Listen to Chris Matthews. Shameful, Chris. Absolutely shameful. Honestly, is there anything you won't sell out for a ratings point? Is there a single thing that you won't betray for money or a job or fame or whatever it is?"
"With him, it's not ratings though. Certainly he's want concerned about ratings. It has to be politics," Stu said.
"I mean, this sincerely, is there no shame, Chris Matthews? Take a look at what you've become," Glenn said.
