On Wednesday’s Hannity, Pamela Geller faced off against radical cleric Anjem Choudary, in what has to be a first, Choudary conceded he thinks Geller should get the death penalty for holding a content to draw the prophet Muhammad. Unbelievable — Glenn has the audio on radio today.
Choudary said, "We’re talking about people who deliberately had a competition to insult the messenger Mohammad… If you saw the cartoons that Charlie Hebdo drew you would understand the anger. And now this woman was to draw cartoons or have people draw cartoons to insult the prophet knowing full well that this carries the death penalty in Islam."
"She should be put before Shariah court and tried and of course she would face capitol punishment," he said.
Watch it unfold below:
"These guys who believe in Sharia law are out and out evil. I'm sorry. You cannot believe in Sharia law where a woman can't go outside of her house without a male escort a woman can't drive and if she does, she's stoned to death, you can't believe in that and not be evil. Sorry," Glenn said after seeing the clip.
"[Geller's] life has changed. Whether she likes it or not. Her life has changed," Glenn said. "You don't go without security from here on out."
"I will tell you this, the federal government should -- and they would never do this -- but the federal government should give her a -- you know, some sort of a gun license that will allow her to carry it in any state in the U.S. The woman should be allowed to protect herself... They won't do it. But what right do they have to put her life in danger? She's a reasonable person. You may not agree with her. But she's a reasonable person. She's not going to go into a supermarket and start killing people. She has a legitimate threat on her life."
