Kentucky, it looks like you're on the path towards redemption after picking the awful Mitch McConnell to represent the Commonwealth in the Senate for the billionth time. On Friday, Tea Party candidate Matt Bevin officially won the GOP primary for governor by just 83 votes! Matt joined Pat and Jeffy on radio Friday morning to discuss the victory.
Matt praised his opponent, James Cormer, who conceded Friday morning.
"I have always had very good dialogue with [James Cormer]. We have spoken many types since the election night itself. He's a class act and handled this so well. It is now official," Matt said.
Matt also thanked his supporters and said the slim margin showed that every vote matters.
"83 votes. There are 1,000 people in the state, who all believe they are responsible for those 83 votes, and the beautiful thing is every one of them is right. If nothing else, this has reaffirmed a sense of ownership in the process, that this is indeed of and by and for the people. When the people step up, they move the needle. It was a powerful statement of ownership of the electoral process," Matt said.
