How do you stop another crazy person from taking a gun and killing people in a church. Yes, the progressive answer is usually “BAN GUNS” - but they’ve got a new anthem this week. In the wake of the tragic shooting in South Carolina, they’ve decided to use the crisis to cross off another item on their agenda - the Confederate Flag. The latest victim of the anti-flag movement? The Dukes of Hazzard. Yes, taking Bo and Luke Duke and their Confederate flag-adorned General Lee off the air will definitely stop the next Dylann Roof.
Or not.
“The Dukes of Hazzard” has been pulled from the network’s schedule, several news outlets have confirmed, but no reason for the action has been reported.
TV Land did not respond to TheBlaze’s request for comment as to why the iconic comedy has been booted off the air, but the news follows increasing national outcry against displaying the Confederate flag after the massacre at a black church in Charleston, South Carolina, last month.
TV Land may not be confirming why they took the show off the air, but Glenn thinks the answer is obvious.
"Because they have a Confederate flag on the top of the car, they're taking it off of television," Glenn said.
Glenn said TheBlaze TV should air the show and blur out the car, leaving only the flag. Or if that didn't work, replace the Confederate flag with the ISIS flag, which seems to be a much more acceptable icon.
"It's crazy what we're doing. It's crazy," Glenn said.
