At a time when "tolerance" is held higher than adhering to principles, it's easy to fall into the trap of believing nothing can truly be intolerable. But this is the sort of thinking that has allowed history to repeat itself and grave atrocities to occur, such as the crucifixion and beheading taking place in the Middle East. But what can we do about it? Filling in for Glenn Beck on radio Thursday, Doc Thompson urged listeners to start by bettering themselves.
"We realized you have to start with yourself," Doc said.
In what sounded vaguely familiar (think Glenn's new 40 Day, 40 Night Challenge), Doc introduced the #BetterYourselfChallenge to inspire listeners to do just one thing over the next 30 days to become less miserable and make life better for themselves.
"It may not be pleasant. In fact, I can guarantee that it's probably going to be horrible. Because it requires a lot of hard work to accomplish anything. So stand up and do. Grow. Pick something over the next 30 days, to take our challenge, and just say, I'm going to do something better," Doc said.
