During his sit-down with Carly Fiorina earlier this week, Glenn brought up a question many had been asking, about Fiorina's comment saying she felt bad for Boehner during the government shutdown over Obamacare.
Fiorina told Glenn she stands by that statement because those circumstances were different than they are now.
"We did not have a majority," Fiorina said. "The second thing that was different is Obamacare is President Obama’s signature piece of legislation. There is no way. On the other hand, think about where we are now. Planned Parenthood is $600 million. It is an abomination what is going on in Planned Parenthood, and they cannot and will not deny this."
When Glenn asked if she'd shut down the government over this, Fiorina responded emphatically, "yes."
"I would, and I would force President Obama to explain why he is willing over $600 million to permit taxpayer funding of the butchery of babies. When times and circumstances change, tactics can change," she said.

GLENN: When Ted Cruz—a lot of people have pointed this out. When Ted Cruz, who didn’t shut the government down, when that happened, you said:
"Everyone could see this train wreck coming. I actually feel bad for John Boehner, and I think Ted Cruz and President Obama’s shutdown, I think Ted Cruz’s tactics were wrong. There’s no honor charging a hill that you know you can’t take, only casualties. Although Ted Cruz may have gotten name recognition and money along the way, President Obama wanted the shutdown, and Ted Cruz played right into his hands."
You felt bad for John Boehner.
CARLY: Well, I stand by that statement, and you know why? By the way, we all want to repeal ObamaCare, but here’s what was different then. We didn’t have a majority. We did not have a majority. The second thing that was different is ObamaCare is President Obama’s signature piece of legislation. There is no way.
On the other hand, think about where we are now. Planned Parenthood is $600 million. It is an abomination what is going on in Planned Parenthood, and they cannot and will not deny this.
GLENN: You’d shut the government down over that?
CARLY: Yes, I would, and I would force President Obama to explain why he is willing over $600 million to permit taxpayer funding of the butchery of babies. When times and circumstances change, tactics can change.
