A very exclusive group of global entrepreneurs visited Glenn's studio in Dallas Thursday for a special tour and to discuss where our world is heading from a technological and entrepreneurial perspective.
As members of the Maverick 1000, this group represented what Glenn described as "some of the best minds of the free market today." Every year, members of the Maverick 1000 do outrageous, out-of-the-box things every year to connect on ideas.
"They must be out of cool stuff because they have flown into Dallas for a Mercury Studio and Museum tour with me," Glenn said. "It is how I get to start my day after radio."
In the Q&A following the tour, someone asked, "Where do you see the biggest change in media?"
Glenn's response? "Television is over," he said, describing the need to change the way content is delivered. With today's technology, anyone can become a broadcaster, journalist or publisher.
"Your competition is a 16-year-old who actually knows something," Glenn said.
