For those who know history, you know we are repeating it.
I was struck today by the GOP attacks on Ted Cruz. GW Bush attacks Ted Cruz? For eight years he left Barack Obama completely alone and now he comes out swinging against Ted?
I never thought power or even family power was more important than the country to any of the Bush family but how else to read this?
They know that Ted is the real threat, not Trump, Carly or even Carson. Why else would he attack the guy in third or fourth place?
I really respect GW Bush as man. I really disagree with much of his progressive policies and the same with his father and brother. All really good men, but globalists and progressives to the core. The last thing we need are more Bush appointments to the court.
It saddens me that he finds Ted Cruz more of a threat to the republic than the current President. What does that say?
The reason this reminds me of history - what happened to Winston Churchill? If you remember, he was hated by the opposing party but even more by his own party. So much so that they drove him from Parliament.
When the truth finally was too obvious to avoid any longer, party leaders went to his home to beg him to come back and lead the nation. He did, he defeated evil, and he did so by being clear about the truth.
When America finally recognizes the truth and the party comes crashing down and we all have to sober up, we will look for a real leader who has taken the road less traveled the whole time only because he felt it was right. Not popular or profitable.
I am sad to see such a man of integrity like GWB lower himself like this, but I am heartened because it speaks to the progressive arm of the party's fear and more so to the truth on who they really think is going to win.
For those who know history, you know we are repeating it. I was struck today by the GOP attacks on Ted Cruz. GW...
