I am so happy to read the emails and posts about The Immortal.
After four years of work it is exciting to see people's reaction.
I don't know if I have worked harder on a story than this one and now it is like standing in the lobby of a movie premiere waiting for the audience to come out.
This just came in from Jeffy's wife Amber.
Glenn,
I just finished the Immortal Nicholas.
Outstanding is the first word that comes to mind but it deserves so much more than that.
I didn't know what to expect from the book, other than what Jeff had told me and what you had mentioned on air.
I never expected to have a slew of emotions take me as the words flowed from the pages and anticipated what was waiting for me on the next page.
The first chapter had me in tears as did the last.
Understanding the loss of a son I could feel his pain and the feeling of not wanting to continue life but knowing there is a purpose and to keep going.
Chapter 11 was powerful beyond words, I felt I was next to Agios as he moved through the crowd and felt the tightness in my chest as he reached the view of Jesus being raised on the cross. You could feel his heartbreaking.
Meeting young Nicholas, you could feel the joy rising up inside Agios and the feelings he had for his children and wife.
You have written a magical book that has the beauty of any classic ever written.
I congratulate you on a true masterpiece and it deserves nothing less than a standing ovation.
Love you and enjoy the photo.
