Miracle Joy arrived on Jan. 18, the same day her mother turned 33 and her grandmother turned 56.
It’s a rare for a baby girl to have the same birthday as her mother, but to share a birthday with both her mother and grandmother is pretty special. Experts say the odds are about 130,000 to one.
Aimee Hernando experienced issues with infertility for nine years before giving birth to her 1-year-old son and later Miracle Joy. Her growing family also includes two older adopted siblings, ages 11 and 8.
“We said if we ever had a girl, we would name her Miracle Joy,” Hernando explained.
In addition to sharing a birthday, the three generations also have similar birth weights. Hernando's mother weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces, Hernando weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces, and Miracle’s was 6 pounds 8 ounces.
“She is a beautiful miracle," the mother of four said. "Definitely the best birthday present ever.”
