If you say something loud enough and long enough, people will start to believe it. Sadly, many people are buying into the false narrative that Ted Cruz is dishonest and dishonorable when in fact he's one of the good guys.
"I have to tell you, there [are] very few people in Washington that I think are truly honorable, and Ted Cruz is one of them," Glenn said Thursday on The Glenn Beck Program.
And now, there's an effort to make Glenn look like a liar and that Ted Cruz just hires a bunch of liars.
“Look, here’s what a narcissist does: If they can’t change your mind, they change your image,” Glenn said.
There's is a pathological liar on the campaign trail, but it isn't Ted Cruz.
During the Nevada caucus, the media reported that both Glenn and Donald Trump ended up at the same caucus location, in the same room. That's true enough, but Trump's description completely mischaracterizes what happened.
When I walked in, I saw he was on the podium. And there were thousands of people in the room. Not too many people listening to him. He's not a very good guy to listen to frankly. He’s boring. And so when I walked in, everybody saw me. The place went crazy. They all ran away from him, his whole crowd. And he was standing up up there talking to nobody, and he steamed out of the room.
That was Donald Trump's version of walking into a room where Glenn was speaking --- and it's rife with lies.
• Glenn was standing at a podium --- not true
• There were thousands of people --- not true
• He is boring --- well, that's a matter of opinion (but has Trump ever heard Glenn speak?)
• They all ran away from him --- not true
• He was talking to nobody --- not true
• He steamed out of the room --- not true
Oddly enough, Glenn had a completely different interpretation --- as well as video to support it.
“I just want you to listen to this. Because what is happening --- this is not about me. This is about who the liar is here,” Glenn said. "I'm making the point that Ted Cruz is telling the truth. He is not a liar. But there has been a coordinated campaign, a hit campaign to take him out. Why? Because he is the true change that we have been looking for."
