Republican presidential candidate and Ohio Gov. John Kasich called a cop an idiot several times during a speech for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency in 2011. There, he complained about being pulled over in 2008 and ordered to go to court despite being in the middle of campaign fundraising for state Republicans at the time.
Kasich was stopped for passing too close to an emergency vehicle --- which video evidence shows he clearly did. Yet, years later, he ridiculed the officer carrying out his duty, calling him names repeatedly.
Sheriff David Clarke posted the video of the traffic stop on Twitter, showing exactly how everything went down.
Is this the type of conduct we should expect of statesman running for the highest office of our country?
