Some might say Elizabeth Sullivan is lucky to have lived so long. For her, it has more to do with her favorite drink. Many doctors have tried to get her to quit her three-Dr. Pepper-a-day habit but her response to those assertions is classic.
“All those doctors are dead and I’m still here,” Sullivan said.
Thanks to the people at Dr. Pepper, Sullivan got to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for her favorite team --- the Texas Rangers.
Glenn shared his astonishment on radio prior to the game Wednesday.
“A 105-year-old woman is going to throw out the first pitch," Glenn said. "I don't care if the catcher is 2 feet in front of her, for 105-year-old --- I'm fascinated to see this pitch. I mean, really honestly, for a 105-year-old to be able to walk out to the mound."
