Do political endorsements matter? Opinions vary on their value, but one thing is crystal clear: No one wants the endorsement of the the Ku Klux Klan. (We think.) Donald Trump was slow to denounce the endorsement of former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke, but what about his latest endorsement from a KKK member? That's right, yet another Klansman has stepped out from the shadows to endorse Trump.
Monday on The Glenn Beck Program, Glenn commented on Trump's most recent Klan endorsement after a man wanting to be identified as the "Imperial Wizard of the Rebel Brigade Knights of the Ku Klux Klan," sat down for an interview with Chris Thomas of WWBT in Richmond, Virginia.
"Well, Ted is pretty upset. He's upset he didn't get the Klan vote," Glenn said sarcastically.
Not only will Cruz fail to earn the Klansman's vote, he's last in line for it.
When asked which candidate would be best for the job of president, the Imperial Wizard of the Rebel Brigade Knights had a clear opinion to share.
"I think Donald Trump would be best for the job," he said. "The reason a lot of Klan members like Donald Trump is because a lot of what he believes, we believe in. We want our country to be safe. And if Donald Trump dropped out tomorrow, I'd support Kasich before I would Ted Cruz. ...Because he's not an American citizen."
There you have it folks.
