On December 10, 2013, Special Agent Tim Ballard turned in his Homeland Security badge and resigned from his employment with the United States government. He had spent over a decade rescuing children from child sex tourism both domestically and overseas. He was proud that his country was actually doing something about this problem.
However, mired in red tape and bureaucracy, Tim left to begin saving the children that fell out of the purview of the U.S. These children constitute over 90% of those lost to child sex slavery. The Abolitionist Movie, a new documentary by the Academy Award-winning producer of Schindler's List, is the story about the lost children and Tim’s organization, Operation Underground Railroad’s, attempt to investigate and liberate them from around the world.
"The new documentary was produced about Operation Underground Railroad. Tim Ballard, who is a friend of ours and the audience that started this movement. It was our million dollars from this audience that started the movement of rescuing children in the sex industry," Glenn said Monday on The Glenn Beck Program. "It's horrifying what these kids go through. You see it and you see them rescued."
The Abolitionist Movie is playing in select theaters tonight only. See Tim Ballard and his team liberate kids across the world. The war to rescue children has just begun.
