A big deal at the Sundance Film Festival, where rich gun-carrying liberals go to mock hayseeds, was Katie Couric’s documentary Under the Gun, which used at least one instance of deceptive editing to make gun-owners look dumbfounded under her incisive questioning.

When caught in an outright lie by the Virginia Citizens Defense League, which had original audiotape of the interview used in the film, writer/producer/director Stephanie Soechtig responded:
There are a wide range of views expressed in the film. My intention was to provide a pause for the viewer to have a moment to consider this important question before presenting the facts on Americans’ opinions on background checks. I never intended to make anyone look bad and I apologize if anyone felt that way.
Now we have EPIX, the cable channel that purchased the holy mother of all gun lies flick, pulling the movie.
