Buck Sexton, a commentator on TheBlaze and former CIA analyst joined The Glenn Beck Program to share his analysis on the Obama administration paying off Iran with $400 in cash.
"The Obama administration and Hillary Clinton said this and backed it up yesterday, that this $400 million they flew on an unmarked plane, Swiss francs and euros, that's just form business. And they flew it in the middle of the night. And this is old news. Do you buy into that at all?" Glenn asked.
Sexton didn't hold back.
"No, I think it's farcical, or at least it would be laughable if it weren't such a serious issue. It's preposterous on a number of levels," Sexton said.
He explained how the very nature of the transaction is problematic.
"Why not just do the wire transfer? Oh, there are laws about doing a wire transfer with Iran that are still in place," Sexton said. "It's also been reported that the Iranians wanted the cash specifically so that they could show something for their efforts in this negotiation over the hostages," Sexton said.
And show it they did. Iranian media reportedly called the money a ransom payment.
"What's going to stop those big bundles of cash going into the hands of Hezbollah and others in Europe to kill people?" Glenn asked.
"Absolutely nothing," Sexton responded. "Iran is the greatest state sponsor of terror in the world. So they're number one now. There are other countries that have major terrorist problems, but nobody really holds a candle to the Iranians when it comes to directly, as a function of government policy, sending cash, arms, training, all kinds of assistance to jihadist organizations all across the Middle East and around the world."
Without the backbone or conscience to exercise their authority, Congress won't likely take action to discipline Obama's executive branch.
"We are now a Banana Republic. Law doesn't matter. You see it with Hillary Clinton. Law just doesn't matter," Glenn said.
