Glenn appeared Sunday on CNN’s Reliable Sources, which examines the media world, how journalists do their jobs and how media outlets affect the stories they cover.
Host Brian Stelter didn’t waste time, asking if there was a fracture going on in conservative media circles.
"Oh, there's been a fracturing that has been going on for the last, probably, eight to 12 months. I don’t think that the left could have planned a better candidate to blow up the right than Donald Trump,” Glenn replied.
Stelter pointed to the dust up created last week by Sean Hannity's remarks.
"What do you blame him for? What's the reality here?" Stelter asked Glenn.
"I'm not on some holy war against Sean Hannity, and I don't blame him," Glenn replied.
In addition to clarifying his position on Sean Hannity, Glenn also had the opportunity to talk about his book Liars, currently the number one selling book in the country.
"It's not Donald Trump, it's us. What is it about us that, you know --- this is what I write about in my book Liars --- what is it that makes us buy into these lies that we all know are lies. Why are we buying them? What is it?" Glenn asked.
Without pandering to any one side of the political spectrum, Glenn also expressed how important it is that voters understand multiple political viewpoints during this election cycle.
Stelter also asked about the rumored post-election launch of Trump TV.
"What have you learned about launching a network like that?" Stelter asked Glenn.
"That it is a lot harder than you think. There's a reason why everybody hasn't done it," Glenn replied.
