The multi-state search for 4-year-old Rebecca Lewis, the Florida girl allegedly abducted from her bed by a family friend last week, ended when a Tennessee hospital worker walked right past Rebecca and her alleged captor.
That was Kaytlin Brown, a clinical assistant at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Brown is opening up to PEOPLE about the moment she realized what was happening.
“I remember thinking ‘She’s so cute,’ ” says Brown, 23. “And then it hit me: ‘That’s that little girl.’ ”
