As Glenn indicated Wednesday on his radio program, he has reached out to Donald Trump, offering his support to the president-elect. During Trump's acceptance speech, an olive branch was extended to anyone who had opposed him during the campaign.
"We took him up on his gracious offer, and we were very gracious in return. And if something happens, we'll let you know," Glenn said.
Watch the clip below for Glenn's update on reaching out:
Below is a rush transcript of this segment, it might contain errors:
GLENN: Just real quick, an update, I did reach out to the Trump campaign yesterday. He said in his speech, "There were those that opposed me."
STU: A few.
GLENN: A few. We can count them on one hand.
(chuckling)
But there were those who opposed me, and he said, "I am reaching out to you." And so I don't know if he was talking about us or including us in that list. But just in case, I wrote him a very nice letter. We reached out to his campaign yesterday. I sent him the letter. I'm willing to call him probably. Probably will put a call in today. I don't expect him to take the call. I don't expect really anything out of it. He's the president-elect.
But just on the offhand, I want you to know, that in that letter -- and I'll publish it in a few days --
PAT: We took him up.
GLENN: We took him up on his gracious offer, and we were very gracious in return. And if something happens, we'll let you know.
