In an interview Tuesday evening with Anderson Cooper on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360, Glenn urged conservatives to research the alt-right movement and Steve Bannon, chairman of Breitbart Media and newly appointed advisor to President-elect Donald Trump. In July, Bannon told Mother Jones that Brietbart News had become "the platform for the alt-right." The alt-right movement has been accused of white nationalism, racism, misogyny and anti-Semitism.
"He has given a voice and power to that group of people," Glenn told Cooper. "You don't empower people like that. You just don't. It's not smart."
