Here’s a list of failed attempts by the CIA to kill him. Former head of the Cuban Secret Service, Fabian Escalante, broke down assassination attempts on Castro by each U.S administration, excluding former President Bush and his predecessor President Obama. He claims “the Eisenhower administration tried to kill Castro 38 times; Kennedy, 42; Johnson, 72; Nixon, 184; Carter, 64; Reagan, 197; Bush Sr., 16; Clinton, 21.” The number of times the CIA tried to kill Castro is still disputed, but there’s no doubt that the CIA was persistent.
