Want to do something meaningful and nice with your family this Christmas? May I suggest National Wreaths Across America Day?
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, this wonderful organization has a mission to REMEMBER our fallen U.S. veterans, HONOR those who serve and TEACH children the value of freedom by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as 1,200 additional locations nationwide on December 17th. There will be 245,000 wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery alone.

Sponsor a Wreath
This is the 25th year that Wreaths Across America has coordinated its wreath-laying ceremony. They have a goal this year to place a wreath at every marker at Arlington National Cemetery. As of this morning, they still have 145,000 wreath sponsorships available. Each wreath costs $15 to sponsor.
Volunteer on December 17
If you'd like to volunteer, 50,000 people are needed at 1,200 locations across America. Volunteers are encouraged to say the veteran's name aloud and take a moment to thank them for their service to our country. It's a small act that goes a long way toward keeping the memory of our veterans alive.
