Fox News host Tucker Carlson tore into NBC News and MSNBC on his show Tuesday night, suggesting that it wasn’t Russia that meddled in last year’s presidential election, but rather the famed news outlets.
Russia “hacking” last year’s election has been one of the biggest, nonstop stories since President Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in November. However, there isn’t much evidence to support that narrative, Carlson said.
“There’s no reason to believe Russia changed the course of American political history,” Carlson declared. “There’s merely innuendo and conspiracy mongering and connecting probably irrelevant dots.”
That led Carlson to one question: If there is no real evidence that Russia manipulated last year’s election or colluded with Trump’s campaign, why does the story persist “and grow by the day?”
And he believes he knows the answer.
