Volunteers from Mercury One and Milestone Electric committed to help raise one million dollars in educational scholarships for children and spouses of fallen and disabled service members in support of the Stands for Honor campaign. These volunteers will literally stand in place until their goal of funding 200 scholarships is met.
"My staff at Mercury One as well as the volunteers from Milestone Electric are continuing to stand in place in downtown Dallas --- day and night --- until we fund those 200 scholarships," Glenn said on radio Friday. "We're up to $750,000."
So far, enough donations have been received to fund 114 scholarships.
"These [kids] are from parents who died serving, so it's to stabilize their family and make sure their kids have an education," Glenn said.
If you would like to help support families of fallen and disabled soldiers, go to Mercury One.
