The ongoing scandal of Donald Trump, Jr.’s potential collusion with Russia on behalf of the 2016 presidential election continues. Both his statement on the story and the full email chain of exchanges released via Trump, Jr.'s official Twitter account became a lightening rod for speculation and debate.
For his part, Trump, Jr. said he "probably would have done things a little differently" in an exclusive interview with Fox News' "Hannity" Tuesday night, adding some perspective to the meeting:
This [was] pre-Russia fever. This [was] pre-Russia mania. I don’t think my sirens went [off] or my antenna went up at this time because it wasn’t the issue that it’s been made out to be over the last nine months, ten months.
Meanwhile, legal experts refute charges of treason or illicit collusion. However, Trump, Jr. may find himself in hot water with regards to violating campaign-finance regulations that prohibit “soliciting” something of value from a foreign power.
