Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's approval rating has plunged in several recent polls. One has him at 9 percent (that's right N-I-N-E), two points behind Vladimir Putin's 11-point approval rating.
McConnell has failed miserably to represent his conservative constituents and the will of the people, protecting instead his power and position for decades. The Kentucky senator should remove himself as majority leader and not seek reelection in 2020 --- but we all know that's not going to happen. McConnell is too caught up in the Washington machine.
We're Americans, though, and we can dream, right? What do you think? Would you be in favor of McConnell rescinding his leadership position and taking one for the team?
