Glenn is notorious for encouraging staff members to read a wide array of books, including such pick me ups as In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin
which chronicled the early days in Berlin under Hitler. That said Glenn reads lots of books and despite the occasional questionable judgment, he usually has lots of gems. Check out the book he’s been raving about on Facebook:
I am reading one of the best and most interesting books I have read in years.
It is called The Sistine Secrets: Michelangelo's Forbidden Messages in the Heart of the Vatican
What an amazing slice of lost history.
I had a tour of the Sistine Chapel given by the head of the Vatican museum a few years ago. I have learned more in the first 20 pages of this book than the two days of study at the Vatican.
Worth the read times 10!!!!!
