“Black Wall Street” was the nickname for the most prominent black community in the United States during the early 1920’s. It was also the scene of one of the worst race riots ever. Fought by recently-returned WWI veterans, the carnage reflected a scene out of France or Germany. Equally shocking was the insane cover up to hide it all from the public.
