I return back to the airwaves on Monday after a month off air. Honestly, I didn't know if I would have anything to return to. There is a reason people on air don't take a month away. It is hard to keep advertiser and listeners. That was my first thought when doctors told me to rest my voice for thirty days. How?
Instead, I trusted that everything will work to the good of Him. I did my best to empower my team and I went away. I stopped reading the news and thinking about the world everyday and began to think about a bigger picture. Him.
I let go and let God. You know what? The world is still turning. It did fine without me. The company still stands and what really counts, my relationship with my family and my God is stronger. Choose faith.
Choose faith over worry or anxiety.
Today's Reading:
Question:
Do you fill your day with worry or faith?
Application:
Today, read scripture and give your worries and cares to God in prayer. For we each have a purpose and we are each where we are for a reason - even if it is not seen in the moment. Worry will not change what is set before today.
MLK Pledge - #9:
Strive to be in good spiritual and bodily health.
Quotes:
“Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow. It empties today of its strength." - Corrie Ten Boom
“There is nothing that wastes the body like worry, and one who has any faith in God should be ashamed to worry about anything whatsoever." - Mahatma Gandhi
What YOU Are Saying:
"I am leaving the past where it belongs Striving in a positive mindset and being thankful in the present everyday ordinary things and ways." - Dawn Townsend
"What I have gotten so far from the 40 day challenge is I found Labor Of Love, USA group. I have been praying for direction, & to find like minded people who are doing something positive for others simple because it is the right thing to do being of service to others." - Debbie Perkins
"I have become more focused on what is important, such as praying in the morning so I have the right mindset throughout the day and also reading scriptures daily. I do notice that my faith is growing and I am able to speak about what God wants without fear. I also see that my prayers are being answered every day." - Annette Cole
