Family.
Today's Reading:
Making time for the family is the hardest thing to do for me. I am usually bone tired when I get home and to have an evening where we play games together, read scriptures and learn a moral lesson is hard. But those are the best nights of my week.
Being my kid can be a little frightening as you can imagine. My kids live in a world where dad has security and sometimes has to wear a bullet proof vest. They also have to talk to me about the future. There are adults that don't want to talk to me about the future! :). So sometimes it is great just to blow off steam. Last week we went bowling. Last night we had a tickle fight. But never forget, all of the life lessons that will get them through time times in life and marriage come right now, from you.
Question:
How strong is your family unit? Are you taking steps to ensure your household stands firm?
Application:
Today, plan at least one night a week to spend time together as a family, to eat together and pray together. Get rid of any distractions or electronics during this family time.
