It has to do with the way that Obama is “pissing” on our US Constitution, which gives the artist that created the piece of Obama as Christ, which offends Christians and conservatives alike, the right to do that blasphemous piece of art.  However, our 1st Amendment in that Constitution protects the artist, and in turn, Glenn is exercising HIS right to do the same thing… freedom and exercise of free speech.  It has nothing to do with the “anti-American”, other than the fact that Obama would like to do away with the 1st Amendment rights of the Constitution.   There was also another piece that was done that had Christ covered in piss… which is what gave Glenn the idea to piss on Obama’s effigy.

I’m actually not a Liberal at all, but my dad is and we have some fun conversations around the dinner table when we see each other.

More or less, yeah. I don’t believe in big government or government intervention and support personal charitable initiatives, if that’s more of what you’re getting at. 

It’s pretty easy. I think that the people that work in a company should, based on performance, more or less equally share in how the company does. I think the principles of a Republic should be a part of our economy and not just our economics. I also think that our rights and liberties should be protected against the tyranny of big government, that the best government is that which governs least, and that local and state governments are more efficient and should have more say in what they do than the federal government does. No big charismatic leaders, no single party, no State-controlled economy, just people working together for the good of all because they feel it’s the right thing to do, not because somebody’s making them do it. It may not be wholly realistic, but we see a little bit of it every day with the Salvation Army and other non-profit community groups. 

It’s great how anything to do with Obama can be countered with, “You’re a racist.” The weird thing about that is that most of us didn’t even consider a possible racial connection. I know it never occurred to me until you made the accusation and I still don’t get the connection. You and your progressive buddies are the ones who are obsessed with race, and you seem to think so little of “minorities” that you assume they can’t succeed unless you level their playing field, despite mounds of evidence to the contrary. Conservatives have done more to combat real racism than progressives can even begin to imagine. Nothing defeats racism better than a person succeeding on their own merits, and conservatives excel at that, not by leveling any playing fields, but by making sure everyone can be on the same one. Progressives want to divide and put everyone on the field that they determine meets their abilities. I can’t think of a more racist concept. Even funnier is that you think Jesus is good enough to be included in a celebrated Mapplethorpe exhibit, but not Barack Obama… racist…

It is intellectually dishonest to hold up the current administration as “good”, unless you are somehow able to discount the Justice Department activities on the lack of border security, gun running in North America and abroad, bulling the justice department, and wasting tax money suing those trying to uphold national laws while allowing sanctuary cities to ignore federal laws and drug restrictions.  It is ridiculous to defend our political posture in the Mid/Far East since one week after our foreign affairs leadership visits any country and declares, all is well, it goes into total meltdown and our people and political will are trashed, in what is usually considered acts of war, with no consequence on a weekly basis.  It is equally un-enlighten  to ignore the truth about the dismal financial state of all the failed cities, special interest government backed businesses, new revenue demands for more taxes to waste by “representatives” of TOTUS (those other than US), and last but not least –  the totally irresponsible national debt and pale interest in really fixing that growing death wish.  Let us not forget that also one branch os the government is not supposed to operate independent of the other two by simply ignoring the constitution and declaring new laws while ignoring existing laws.

The problem is, what is offensive behavior to you is humor to someone else…And vice versa. 

You could be offended by a myriad of things-think traffic signals, and walking at crosswalks…how about opening a door?
