Just read a newsmax article stating that there are 310 million guns in the private hands of Americans…and 11,000 gun homicides by firearms last year (more by baseball bats, by the way).  This prompted me to grab my calculator. Although I’m no math wiz by any stretch (and feel free to correct me) below is what I came up with.

If guns kill people, .999964516% of them are defective!  Turns out very, very few of them even work!

I think the robber would have fared better had he donned a Dianne Feinstein mask to do his dirty work.  All those concealed carriers would have folded right up and sat back down!

Great commercials.  Glocks suck.  They are dangerous guns with that weird “safety”.  Many accidental shooting occur with them. Once locked and loaded, just touch the trigger and bang.  I prefer a positive safety or a good double action with a de-cocker.  CZ is a superior handgun and their Dan Wesson line puts any Glock to shame.  Sig Sauer is better as well.  Love their 1911s.

Just curious. Please post your equation. Numbers don’t mean anything without showing the thought process. I have never shot anyone, but I can honestly say that my gun hits the target about 98% of the time. And careful maintenance ensures that it does, indeed, work just fine.

I watched the video on 10mm shooting. Years ago as a bet using a five shot S&W Model 36 with 3 inch barrel, in .38 Special using standard 158 round nose hollow points, and after much practice; I learned where to aim on the side of a mountain for the bullets to impact an abandoned 6,000 cfm water cooler. Each hit you could hear the impact on metal. At a later time a gentleman name Steve Gerbrandt using his .357 Mag Colt Nickell Plated Diamond Back in 6 inch barrel bet $20.00 he would hit it first. That water cooler was at 1.4 of mile away, 440 yards. I took his $20.00. I told him I already knew where to aim above on the mountain to hit the water cooler and still he wanted to bet. Considering, after letting him shoots six rounds and missing every round; I stood up and took one round and hit the water cooler. This skill set is only achieve with practice.

You want to get real serious; back in the early 1970s into the 1980s using a PR24 and a S&W Model 27-2 with 8 3/8ths inch barrel, magna-ported, full target, a .357 mag using 146 grain 3/4 jacketed wad-cutters with hollow points loaded ’hot’ and using magnum primers – with the PR24 side-handled baton as a rifle stock I was successfully able to take down small game to include coyote and bob-cats at ranges exceeding 600 yards. And those shots made the taking of a deer 125 yards away with the same handgun look like child’s play. Only careful handloading and a great amount of practice and familiarization with your firearm will give you those kind of results. It also provides one with a great deal of confidence.

Does anyone want to hear what is possible with a six inch barrel .22LR target quality handgun with an 8 3/8s inch barrel can do out to 500 yards?

We are at the point where the number of voters (plus what they can steal) is high enough to elect a tribal chief form of government.  The process of democracy is no longer available to save us.  Our two choices our armed revolt or tax revolt.  I’m still living with the consequences of combat in Vietnam so the latter seems like the best idea.  The 61% of white Americans who voted for Mitt Romney include most of the working, tax paying citizens.  If we stop paying for our own enslavement this nightmare will fade away.  All we need is some good leadership and a plan which does not include RINO scum like John Boenher.

Here in Texas one of our state senators is in the process of introducing a bill that will make any gun legislation passed by our US Congress or by Presidential order to be unenforcable in Texas. Any federal officers who try to enforce any such laws in Texas will be subject to prosecution for a felony.
A sheriff in Oregon wrote a letter to our President informing him that he will not enforce unconstitutional laws nor will he allow anyone else to enforce them in his county. It seems our county sheriffs are the top law enforcement people in their counties.By law, everythng involving law enforcement is done only at the approval of the county sheriff.

Yeah, but unfortunately it’s bad form to fix the problem with a Glock…

At the polling place at the National SEAL Museum in St. Lucia there was 158% turnout. Another location, the one where they unlawfully ejected the GOP poll sitters, had 141% turnout. In Philadelphia, in 59 precincts there were 0(ZERO) votes for Romney. A mathamatical and statistical impossibility. In Ohio a couinty that registered around 175,000 voters recorded around 247,000 votes. No wonder the lefties were so opposed to voter ID.
My oldest and dearest friend who has worked in Vegas casinos since the seventies can tell you about the casinos bussing their illegal help to the polls, giving them fraudulent registration cards and the instruction booklets printed up by SEIU and other unions, and sending them in to vote.
Voter fraud is massive in this country. In Houston an SEIU employee submitted about 25,000 voter registration cards. A local citizens group looked into it and found that over 23,000 of them were fraudulent.
If we allow this to continue we will cease to be a representative republic and become some sort of socialistic form of tyrannical government.

I think this is exactly what happened.  And it’s pretty scary to think that if at least half the country is stupid… we may never get back to normal.

If we have peoplke that can hack into NORAD there are people that can do anything they want  to with these voting machines. And when you add the fact that George Soros was involved in the aquiring these machines you can bet the farm that there were some “back doors” built into these systems.

I dont think I will ever trust that there will be fraud free elections. You simply cant trust that such a thing exists.

I think I will do an experiment. I’m going to load my .357 and place it on my nightstand with the muzzle pointed at my head. I will then insult that gun up one side and down the other and just see if I wake up in the morning.
A lot of people will tell you that bigfoot exists but I’m going to need to see proof before I’ll buy it. And I don’t believe any gun ever killed anybody. Until we have a gun that is sentient and can pull it’s own trigger we are safe from any rogue guns going on the warpath.

I don’t think there is any concern as to how we protect ourselves against each other, but we must not be allowed to protect ourselves against our government. But try to recall an instance where the citizens became the tyrant. It’s always the other way around.

That is a moot point,nikki, because we are NOT going to give up our guns. At least not here in Texas. We are already moving to make any new gun laws unenforceble in Texas and will make any federal officer who tries to enforce them liable to prosecution as a felon. One thing that I’ve noticed lately is that there are a lot of things that can be done at the state level to mitigate bad federal law. I think many of us have forgotten that our federal government is subordinate to the state governments. This was demonstrated by the overturning of the national 55 mile speed limit, which was brought about by the states.
We do not have to lay down for them. We the peple have the right and also the obligation to provide our leadership with input, and when they cease to listen we need to grab the throat and then when they refuse to shut up and listen we just squeeze enough to stop the politicians mouth from running, a tall order indeed, so he can hear us. The proper position for a politician is on the ground with our collective foot on their collective necks. And with our eyes locked on them. We take our eyes off them and our foot off their necks at our own peril. The nature of a politician makes them our nemisis.

It could be much worse than that. There is talk about the guns used on our embassy in Ben Gazzi being part of another gun walking scheme. Could be another reason for the cover up.

According to an economics proffessor ar George Mason U. you are correct. About 50% of Americans are stupid. He based this on the results of a survey that asked if our government has it’s own money or if it gets all it’s money from us. Fifty percent said it had it’s own money. Don’t folks wonder where that money goes that is missing from the paycheck every payday? Or are these folks not getting paychecks to have monrey deducted from. Or maybe these are people who get more back than they pay in and they mistakenly assume that everyone gets more back than they pay in. Leading them to believe that the government gives everybody money from time to time.It really makes one wonder if we stand a chance.
Personally, I think we have seen the truth behind the idea that the prospect of getting something for nothing brings out the worst in people and these are the people that are dragging us down. Too many takers and not enough producers. We will tip over at some point and then the equality of suffering we have been promised will come to pass.
I guess the best we can hope for is that natural selection will improve the gene pool. So to speak. I fear that there are going to be some hard lessons learned in the next few years.

 We watched Senator Feinstein’s news conference where she displayed weapons that are banned in Washington D.C.  The news reporter covering the event stated  “Senator Feinstein got special permission and does not have to abide by the law”.  We are requesting from you, the name of the person in the United States of America who has the authority to decide if and when any particular individual has to abide by a particular law?   Who is THE person in the United States of America that is above all the laws, in that they can give out exemptions from following any of the laws?  If there is no one, then we request to know why Senator Feinstein is singularly above the law, in that she is able to flaunt the law with out being arrested? Any regular private citizen doing the exact same thing as she did, would be in jail.

We eagerly await your answer.

It seems to me that the anti-gun crowd has realized that a person who grows up around guns is harder to fool about guns than a person who didn’t. I would guess that most anti-gunners did not grow up around guns. They are easier to lead down a path than an informed person. And the lies out there on this issue are legion.
If they can scare kids they will in order to lead them into being anti-gun. I think that the fact that Boy Scouts learn about firearms and practice safety skills and shooting skills is one reason the left hates them so much. Our kids must be propagandized into being scared and uninformed about guns. Otherwise they may grow up and become NRA members. Better they should be disarmed and killed by a home invasion burgler.

One of our state senators has proposed a bill that would make any gun legislation passed by the US congress or by Presidential order unenforceable in Texas. It would make any federal officer who tried to enforce any such laws subjet to felony prosecution.

You seem to resent the fact that he is doing so well, so let me tell you about the tea party he had in Dallas last July. There were 35,000 people there for “Service Thursday” We put roofs back on churches and rebuilt houses. We collected over a million meals for the homeless and shipped them to 11 different cities in 14 semis. We went as far a New Mexico to help some of the Navaho. Hundreds of service projects were completed. It was the largest non-disaster related service project in history. On Saturday night there were 65,000 tea partiers there to be with Beck. Thousands came from Europe( the tea party has gone global).
You may be hoping, again, that the tea party is dead, but don’t you believe it. In time we will all have to face the reality that the tea party is so far out in front that you can’t even see the dust. More to come.

Having followed your link, I sense more than a taste of sour grapes.  Denigrating Beck because he likes Orson Welles is silly.  Do you also denigrate Barack Obama for the sins of the “artists” on his IPod?  Your link is so out of date it says that Beck is still on Fox News, and is so paranoid that it calls those who might object to the content there “gullible fools”.  Is it really a character issue with you that Beck’s wife tears up at a Christmas program?  There is certainly plenty to disagree with in your link — including blaming Beck for the actions of a killer.  (I didn’t notice this column also blaming our President  for attacks that could be inspired by “punish your enemies” — or assaults committed after he claimed that a son of his would look like Trayvon Martin.)

Hitler argued that he wasn’t violating anyone’s rights and Germany was looking for fall guys and leaders who would tell them what to do after the fiasco of WWI. ALL dictators must have the information contained in registration in order to know where to go first in order to seize power. Obama is no different. Is there anyone who actually believes that he thinks that taking away guns from lawful owners will serve any purpose but to INCREASE violent crime? Isn’t it funny how it’s NECESSARY for their protection, but all of the other people in the country should have to ask the government’s permission to be able to protect themselves. Yet, they don’t consider this to be hypocritical in the least. What is even more thought provoking is the mind set of those who refuse to vote third-party.   What would happen if even 15% of the voters rejected the RINO’s (Republican In Name Only), and voted third party.  It would show a distinct rejection of our tw0-party system.  If we would stop voting for the lesser of two evils, and begin to vote our conscience, maybe we could see a difference.  Yet, I wonder if even those votes would show.  I remember seeing  a video once where Ohio was holding an investigation on electric voting, and if it was alterable.  They had a computer “expert” there, and he said that if you took the machine down to base code, it could alter the outcome to a (I think it was) a 49% to 51% split in the popular vote.  Isn’t that pretty much what we have seen?  Obama is in despite what we do.  He believes he is a King with his “executive orders.”  If only we had a Senate who would stand up to this nonsense.

I recently read the book, The Leipzig Connection. Very short book from a small publisher, but every concerned American should read it. It’s very quick and easy to read and digest, but it outlines how, when and where the liberal/progressive agenda really took over our education system in this country. My wife my 2 son’s voted for Romney.  Shortly after voting i went to post office and as i was getting ready to leave spoke to a 90plus white male. “Did you vote yet?”  
” Yep never miss an election!”    I replied i hadn’t either.   He,” I voted 7 times against Nixon”.  I pondered for a moment, Thinking maybe he meant it included other times before he ran as”President. I replied, “How did you do that ?”  He laughed and said proudly, ” I just used different names.”   I was stunned and could not respond before he got into his car and left.  If he  had done it in the past he was no doubt still doing it.  He had probably cancelled all of our votes and others if so.   Steal my Money, Steal my Car, burglarize , none of it is as bad as stealing my right to have my say about my Country’s leadership and the Laws of to be enacted.  Damn him and all like him.
