Nancy Pelosi Calls for DREAM Act to Be Passed – This Surprising Group Shuts Her Down

What happened?

A group of young undocumented immigrants shouted down House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi at a news conference Monday in San Francisco. She was advocating for the DREAM Act, legislation that would protect illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, to be passed into law immediately.

Pelosi tried to respond to the crowd but eventually had to give up and leave. She had started her speech by calling the “DREAMers,” a term used for illegal immigrants brought here as children, “an inspiration to all of us.”

What did they want?

A local CBS outlet reported a list of their demands:

  • “We undocumented youth demand a clean bill.”
  • “We undocumented youth demand that you do not sell out our community and our values.”
  • “We undocumented youth will not be a bargaining chip for Trump.”

Glenn’s take:

“If you live by lawlessness, you are going to die by it,” Glenn said, explaining how Democrats have tried to push the boundaries of the law, and their unlawful decisions are now backfiring on them. The undocumented immigrant protesters were using the same tactics that other liberal causes have employed, shouting down Pelosi before she could even speak.

“She looked helpless,” he said of Pelosi at the press conference.

GLENN: If you live by lawlessness, you are going to die by it, and that is the double-edged sword that first the Democrats are starting to be cut by. But the Republicans will be cut by it just the same.

Nancy Pelosi experienced it firsthand yesterday. Dreamer press conference in San Francisco.

She looked helpless, and even a little bit scared as pro-immigration activists shouted her down, using the same tactics that Occupy Wall Street used on conservatives just a few years ago.

VOICE: We are immigrant! You are undocumented and unafraid.

VOICE: We are immigrant. You are undocumented and unafraid!

GLENN: So how did Pelosi not see this coming? When the Democrats used hurricane relief funding for a budget deal, hardly anybody on the left even batted an eye.

But now they've done basically the same thing with DACA. And they've shelved it to pursue legislation that has already failed.

In other words, they're holding it ransom, while they watch the political fallout from another failed bill.

We have to ask ourselves, both left and right, does anybody who actually believes in open borders and mass amnesty still think the Democrats still care about DACA and children?

No. It's about power, and it's about money. Does anybody on the right actually believe that the Republicans still actually care about border security, and when it comes to health care, freedom of choice and small government?

No. It's about money and power.

We are going to wake up to some real problems if we don't start focusing on things that matter and start telling the truth.

Trump, Schumer, and Pelosi, they're all making deals. The problem is, they're bad for both sides. Vast majority of those on both the left and the right want real lasting change. What happens when everybody in the country that wants change has four to eight more years of the status quo? We just keep switching seats, switching sides of the argument, but nothing is changing.

Maybe the better question is: Who is going to eventually rise up that isn't rising up on violence or hatred? Who is it that is going to rise up and promise something different, promise a true choice, true freedom, and real peace and prosperity?

YOU will be RESPONSIBLE for loss of rights if you riot

A new poster is circulating social media, calling for a record-breaking armed protest to take place across America on Inauguration Day. Here's Glenn's advice for those considering attendance: DON'T GO. No matter who is responsible for the poster or for any possible future chaos that may take place, the far left and the media WILL blame Trump supporters regardless of the facts. And because of that, if you attend and partake in rioting, you WILL be responsible for the loss of our rights that will come as a result. Don't go. But, listen to this clip to find out what Glenn thinks you SHOULD do on Inauguration Day instead…

Can Frustrated Conservatives Learn from the Tea Party? | Matt Kibbe | Ep 92

The nation was shocked as the "Save America" rally in Washington, D.C., devolved into a siege of the U.S. Capitol. The day after, as heads were still spinning, Glenn sits down with Matt Kibbe, host of BlazeTV's "Kibbe on Liberty," to look at what led to this: Woke authoritarianism is in power, lockdowns are unending, and the Left has finally found out how to weaponize fear. The media is all too happy to watch the country burn, as long as the Left is holding the torch. But Glenn and Matt remember the lessons learned from the Tea Party, Martin Luther King Jr., and other movements that found success through peace. Conservatives and libertarians must find a path forward so we have more 9-12 marches, fewer stormings of the Capitol, and real change from those who believe they rule over us.
