You'll Never Guess Who Wrote the Racist Message Targeting Black Air Force Cadets

Black cadets at the Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, Colorado woke up one morning to find a racist message written outside.

In response, Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria gave a speech denouncing bigotry that went viral. But the school has since discovered that one of the black cadets at the academy was responsible for the hate crime, which has been revealed to be a hoax.

“It’s an immature teen who made a terrible decision,” Glenn summed it up on today’s show. He reminded everyone to look at each incident instead of immediately assuming a reported hate crime is fake or jumping on the bandwagon to use it as evidence of racism.

“Some of them are hoaxes. Some of them are real hate crimes,” he said. “Racism is something that affects all human beings, and it is a cancer in ours and any society.”

GLENN: Who is the author of your life? Who is the author of your life? What defines who you are? In late September, five black students woke up to find a message written on the marker boards outside their dorm rooms. The message read, go home, N-word.

The students attend the Air Force academy's prep school. They're hoping to become cadets at the Air Force HEP academy.

In the aftermath of Charlottesville and the NFL national anthem protests, those hate messages threw gasoline on the fire of the racial debate in America. How could this happen in one of our nations most prestigious academies?

The messages prompted HEP Lieutenant General Jay Silvera to gather the entire Air Force Academy student body and staff. And he rebuked them. If you can't treat someone with dignity and respect, then you need to get out.

Now, the video of his rebuke was viewed over a million times on YouTube. This week, the Air Force Academy prep school announced that they have one candidate less for cadet. He has been expelled because he admitted to writing the racial slurs outside of the dorm rooms on his black schoolmates.

Who was it? Turns out this racist incident was a hoax. The perpetrator was actually one of the five black students. Why did he do it?

Apparently, it was a weird attempt to get out of trouble he was in for some other misconduct at the academy. It's an immature teen who made a terrible decision, one he's already paying for, and one now that won't afford him the chance to attend the Air Force Academy.

This is not the time to gloat, however, and say, "See, these alleged hate crimes are hoaxes." Some of them are hoaxes. Some of them are real hate crimes. Racism is something that affects all human beings. And it is a cancer in ours and any society.

This message is obviously not getting through to the youth. So I'll repeat it. Your skin color does not define you.

Your background does not define you. Yesterday doesn't define you. Unless you let it.

What was it somebody said about being judged by the content of your character and not the color of your skin? Only your character defines you.

If we all spend a lot more time working on the content of our character, man, there wouldn't be enough time left to have racism real or imagined.

Bill O'Reilly: How corrupt media twisted Joe Biden Ukraine scandal onto Trump

Bill O'Reilly gives his take on whether or not President Trump DID promise or threaten the President of Ukraine for dirt on Joe Biden, and whether or not the action is grounds for impeachment. But O'Reilly explains that either way, the media has demonstrated its corruptness yet again by manipulating the story away from a scandal for Joe and Hunter, and towards a potential, rumored wrongdoing by Donald Trump.

The Fed, banks printing money to 'prevent' trouble: Recession WILL come soon

Glenn discusses the current state of the economy with author of "Zero Hour," Harry Dent. He says the federal reserve is still funding big banks daily to increase their excess reserve, signaling that something is wrong with the system. Dent says the banks printed money back in the 1930s to climb out of the Great Depression, which only created an aftershock that was even worse. Banks and the Fed are doing the same thing today, so will the coming economic crisis be worse than the 2008 recession? Economist Dent says it's possible, and that it could come as early as 2020.

Lessons from Bill and Monica: Trump, Biden, Obama, Ukraine, and corruption

Glenn says there's an important lesson we can all learn looking back on the Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky scandal: corruption should matter, no matter which political party is to blame. So why are Democrats and the media trying desperately to shame President Trump for alleged corrupt action, but ignoring Joe Biden's clear intention to help his son, Hunter, profit through foreign policy in the Ukraine? How do we fix such a double standard?
